Ayamonte is Spain's south-westernmost town. It borders Portugal's Algarve province at the Guadiana River, and is a main crossing point between the two nations. The area is best known for its long stretches of sandy beach and also for its golf courses, of which there are three nine-hole courses. It is these features, along with the region's idyllic scenery and exceptional weather that has made Ayamonte a hotspot for tourism and a very desirable place in which to own Spanish property.
There are two main beaches along the region's flat coastline - Isla Canela and Punta Moral. Isla Canela is the most distinctive of the two, being the largest and most western beach in the Huelva province. It offers an almost-endless stretch of fine golden sand and is surrounded by vegetation. Even during the summer months, the beach is relatively quiet. Access to the beach has also been updated to accommodate wheelchairs. Punta Moral beach is in a more rural location and is backed by sand dunes.
Ayamonte property is available for sale in the town and also in the surrounding area. Whitewashed townhouses, semi-detached properties and occasional villas make up the bulk of the Spanish property for sale here. Along the waterfront, pleasant apartments and other Ayamonte property with sea views can be purchased. Outside of Ayamonte, plots of land are obtainable on which that dream villa in Spain can be built.
