El Mojon can be found at the northern end of the Costa Calida in Eastern Spain. It is a small fishing village and residential zone situated on the northern cusp of the Mar Menor - Europe's largest saltwater lagoon - and has become an increasingly popular area in which to buy Spanish property.
El Mojon is blessed with access to two different coastlines. Immediately to the east of the residential zone is El Mojon beach on the Costa Calida shoreline. Its miles of pure white sand invite tourists and residents from El Mojon and neighbouring Lo Pagan to relax in the seemingly endless days of sunshine in which the area bathes. A little to the south of El Mojon is the area's second 'coastline' - the northern shore of the Mar Menor. Here, beautiful sandy beaches and shallow waters make for an ideal area in which small children can safely play by the water's edge. A little further along the Mar Menor coast is the famous Mar Menor muds, which are reputed to have therapeutic properties.
Most El Mojon property available to prospective buyers will be found on the Spanish property developments in the El Mojon residential zone. Construction is ongoing in the resort, and so there are always new opportunities arising for El Mojon property hunters who seek a retirement home in the sun, a holiday home or investment property. A 3-bed villa in Spain with sea views in El Mojon can be acquired for around €230,000 euros.
