Lo Pagan is the name given to the coastal zone of San Pedro del Pinatar - a small town on the northern edge of the Mar Menor in the province of Murcia. Famous for its mud baths, Lo Pagan is a designated tourist area with an extensive range of rental property and services catering for visitors all year round. Spanish property in this area consists of modern Lo Pagan property developments and older style properties, both of which provide investors with a good opportunity to add high yield rental property to their portfolio.
Lo Pagan's geographical position is unique. Not only does the zone offer sandy beaches along the Mar Menor - Europe's largest saltwater lagoon - but, Lo Pagan also provides visitors with beaches along the Mediterranean coastline too, so affording plenty of choice to tourists in the busy summer months.
At the north end of the Mar Menor is an area known as La Puntica. From the beach at La Puntica, a therapeutic mud-clay mix high in calcium, magnesium, potassium and fluoride can be found, and it is to this location that thousands of tourists flock each year to take mud baths. Lo Pagan is the closest tourist resort to this mud area, and so adds further to the resort's appeal.
Low maintenance Lo Pagan property that is close to either the Mediterranean beaches or Mar Menor beaches and mud area are the most desirable Spanish property for investors. Apartments, town houses and villa in Spain type properties make up the majority of offerings here. In the surrounding area, tourists can also enjoy a diverse array of water sports activities, as well as the shopping centre in nearby Murcia.
