The province of Navarra is situated in Northern Spain, between the Basque Country and the region of Aragon. Described as a "mini-continent", the province offers everything from rugged mountain peaks courtesy of the western section of the Pyrenees Mountains, to plateaus, valleys and the floodplains along the Ebro River. With the northeastern quadrant of Navarra being located within 20-minutes of San Sebastian and its wonderful beaches too, the province truly does offer prospective Spanish property buyers a complete range of environments in which to purchase that dream villa in Spain.
Tucked away in the foothills of the Pyrenees is Navarra's capital - Pamplona. A city steeped in history Pamplona is a much sought after area in which to live in this province. It offers all of the facilities that you'd expect from a Northern Spanish city and has a grand reputation for its local cuisine and fine wines. Pamplona however is most famous for the "Running of the Bull", which takes place every July. Hundreds of thousands of people from all around the globe come to witness this event and to participate in the run, which involves being pursued by a pack of bulls around the narrow streets of Pamplona on the way to the bull ring.
All over the province a diverse range of Navarra property is available to purchase. In the small town of Alsasua, apartments and chalets can be acquired for around €80,000 euros, while in nearby Urdain Spanish property is even cheaper. In the south of the region near the Ebro River, property hunters can find some exquisite rural Navarra property near Tudela.
