Famous for its oranges, Seville (Sevilla) is situated on the banks of the Guadalquivir
River in the heart of Andalucia. It is one of Spain's most popular inland cities, and its
authentic and charming atmosphere makes it an ideal location in which to purchase
Spanish property.
Seville has a long and treasured history, its cathedral - the largest in the world -
standing testament to this fact. Among the other architectural wonder around the city
is Alcazar Palace - a fortified palace whose origins lay back as far as AD 913, and the
spectacular Plaza de Espana.
The climate in Seville is rather more extreme than along the coastal regions of
Andalucia. During the height of the summer the temperature can reach up beyond
40°c, making it almost unbearable for visitors to the region who are not used to the
heat. During the winter, the temperature can drop quite low, making for some chilly
nights.
While there are opportunities to own Spanish property in the city of Seville itself,
some of the best Seville property is to be found in the surrounding region within the
province of Sevilla. The area of Estepa is a popular area for property buyers and is
relatively cheap too. A 5-bedroomed villa in Spain for instance can be purchased for
under €200,000 euros. Other areas to consider when buying Seville property include
El Rubio and North Ardales, both of which offer a variety of properties at low cost.
