Tereul is the most southerly province of Aragon in Eastern Spain. It is a land of great contrast, taking in much of the eastern end of the Sistema Iberico mountain range, as well as plains and green valleys leading down to the Ebro River that runs through the Aragon region. Spanish property in Tereul is abundant and relatively cheap compared to other areas in Spain. There are also numerous opportunities to buy Tereul property to renovate and sell for profit.
The Tereul region has largely remained outside of the property developer spotlight. Consequently, this wonderful area of Spain is unknown to most Northern Europeans, despite its capital city (Tereul City) being only a 90-minute drive from Valencia. In Tereul City, there is ample opportunity to find a cheap villa in Spain, as well as to find Tereul property in need of renovation.
There are many historic towns and villages in the province, all of which have something unique to offer tourists and Spanish property investors alike. The small town of Valderrobres in the north-east of the province stands on the crystal clear waters of the Mattarana River. It is one of the most attractive towns in Eastern Spain, and is packed full of wonderful examples of Gothic and Medieval architecture. Up in the more mountainous south-west is the medieval town of Albarracin. In complete contrast to Valderrobres, this town is perched on a rocky hillside and surrounded by a crenellated wall. It provides a real taste of traditional rural Spain to all that visit this mountain community.
