On the banks of the river Ebro in the province of Navarra, Northern Spain is the ancient city of Tudela. It is the second largest urban area in the province behind Pamplona, and offers a wealth of diversity to all those who are interested in buying Spanish property in this area.
The city itself is quite low lying in the Ebro Valley, and is located in a region with a rich agricultural history. Everything from vegetables to cereal crops are grown on the lands surrounding the city, giving rise to some exquisite local cuisine and wines.
To the south-west of Tudela, the land rises up quite sharply into mountain peaks of the Sistema Iberico mountain range. Here, the landscape is very different. The green pleasant fields of the valley are replaced by barren mountainsides with their beautiful stratified rock formations. Small mountain villages hide amongst the crags and present Spanish property hunters with alternatives to buying Tudela property down in the valley.
Inside the city of Tudela, visitors find a real mix of styles and culture. Fabulous ancient architecture stands side by side with buildings from every period of history. There are modern Tudela property additions too, some of which provide an opportunity for buyers to own their dream villa in Spain.
