Vera is a traditional Spanish town located north of Garrucha and its famous fish auctions on the Costa de Almeria in Southeast Spain. The town is packed full of Renaissance-style architecture and is surrounded by stunning countryside in which there is a great deal of potential to buy some attractive Spanish property.

The climate in Vera is generally warm all year round. Being set back slightly from the coast it is often a few degrees warmer than neighbouring Garrucha during the summer months, and a few degrees cooler in the winter months.
